| Driving directions to trail heads: |
East End At the 4 way stop turn north across the tracks and turn left immediatly going west parallel with the tracks. The trail head and parking are in the first turn.
The west end trail head is at Collegedale city hall. From the intersection of Ooltewah-Ringgold Road at Apison Pike go west on Apison Pike about 1/4. From the playground start hiking through a tunnel under the road. |

Notes and comments:
Good smooth surface for power hiking. Watch out for the bicycles. They move fast and run silent.
You are not out in the wilderness on this trail, but it is still a very enjoyable hike and very accessable for a quick hiking exersize.
The hiking trail passes through a Veterans Memorial Park that is very nice. It honors Vietnam medics and other branches of the military.
