This trail head is not marked and I missed it the first time. As you enter the Grindstone Ridge Trail you will pass a small pond on the right within about 100 yards. At that point the trail turns to the left. In that turn be looking to your right. The Table Rock Trail will take off behind you.
There is one scenic contribution to this trail and it is Table Rock. The short hike to it is very rewarding when you arrive. Next time I go, I will bring a friend, a couple of folding chairs and lunch to be comfortable and hang out for a while.
If you make the short trek to experience the view of Table Rock only, then go back the way you came. The remainder of the 3.5 mile trail is a hike in the woods with no real scenic value. Hiking in the woods can be an experience in itself though.
I saw Deer. We stood and stared at each other for 5 minutes. I moved first. |
